Much thanks....finally got to it yesterday and soaked it for a couple of hours in barnacle buster. Glad i removed it...was in pretty bad shape. +1 for barnacle buster...that stuff is awesome. going... |

thanks. its a universal 5432 and has a westerbeke 3" heat exchanger. I found a little more info and decided to give it a go. disconnected hose from raw water pump and dipped it below the heat... |

Heat Exchanger Maintenance Question.
If all i want to do is pull the end plates to check for blockage and replace the zinc, all i have to do is pull the raw water inflow hose to the exchanger and drain it before pulling the end plates... |
