Thank you. Exactly the answer I expected someone to come up with. Basically, real estate is not a depreciating asset whereas a boat is. Absolutely correct.

BUT!... Many, many companies also lease...

My company does not own the building I work in. They lease it. The entire building. Lots and lots of companies, thousands in fact, do exactly the same.
