Re: PCSail - Excel sheet to make VPP for Sailing yachts

Thank you Patrick, I am traveling until Tuesday so I will test when I am back in Denver and post results here. I appreciate that you made the changes; I think they will be very helpful.

Re: PCSail - Excel sheet to make VPP for Sailing yachts

I normally use a resolution of 1440*900, but I have also tried it at 1024*768
I use Windows 7; I do not understand "police size"
I ran Polauto in full-screen mode and the result was the same with...

Re: PCSail - Excel sheet to make VPP for Sailing yachts

Attached is a screenshot and I have put circles at the places where the fields or data boxes seem to be just a little too small. Please be assured that I don't mean any criticism...you have done a...

Re: PCSail - Excel sheet to make VPP for Sailing yachts

I am still trying to get a speed more than "1". I have to use the "GPS" for speed because Harmut's file has VHW = 0.00 for speed; I will attach a screenshot of the settings I have with the latest...

Re: PCSail - Excel sheet to make VPP for Sailing yachts

Thanks very much, Patrick, I will load that and begin a test.

It also appears that because of the size of the main window and the config window, several of the data boxes and fields are too narrow...

Re: PCSail - Excel sheet to make VPP for Sailing yachts

I downloaded the Portsmouth nmea file, and it produced the same results...alll speeds less than 1.

I don't see any option to set units...

Could something have been changed when Patrick added...

Re: PCSail - Excel sheet to make VPP for Sailing yachts

That is the file I had downloaded. It unzips with an extension of .nmea

Was it correct to change the extension to .txt? That is the only extension that Polauto gives as a file type to read.

Re: PCSail - Excel sheet to make VPP for Sailing yachts

Patrick,

Thanks very much for implementing the conversion to .xml I am trying to test Polauto using only the NMEA file of Harmut (tried to attach it but Forum won't upload it, even with accepted...

Re: PCSail - Excel sheet to make VPP for Sailing yachts

Patrick,

A conversion would be wonderful to have. Thank you for offering to do that.
I am attaching the working .xml file and the .npp file (that NavSim uses to import and export). It looks as...

Re: PCSail - Excel sheet to make VPP for Sailing yachts

I just posted in the OpenCPN thread about the need to translate Patrick's .pol file format to a pure .xml format. Since I can't post the .xml format here, if anyone is interested, I can email them...

Re: PCSail - Excel sheet to make VPP for Sailing yachts

If you search for "Polauto" with Google, you can have the French page translated to English, and "yes", there is an English version of Patrick's program.
