Re: LiFePo4 for DUMMIES
Not yet. The lowest I've been is about 65%. I'm waiting for a few days of cooler weather when I won't need the air conditioner and have the time to hang around. |

Re: LiFePo4 for DUMMIES
Wow, I really got a deal on my 4 1000 ah cells. I paid $740/cell and $288 for shipping to Louisiana. That price included the BMS and 1 contactor. Have they gone up in price that much in just a few... |

Re: LiFePo4 for DUMMIES
Gotta agree with you Pete. I've received valuable information from the guys here which has given me confidence above all else to tweak my LiFePO4 system. I won't mention names cause I'm sure I'll... |

Re: LiFePo4 for DUMMIES
I think I may be confused on the charging requirements. Balqon recommended to set the charging at 14.0 volts and that is what I've tried to set on my inverter. But at the end of the charge the... |

Re: LiFePo4 for DUMMIES
I thought the HP BMS alarmed at 14.2 and cut out at 15.0 It cuts out at 14.2 also? I have the Victron BMV 600 alarm set at 14.2 and the BMS alarms a few seconds later. I may rethink using the... |

Re: LiFePo4 for DUMMIES
That's why I haven't ordered a charger yet. Once I install the cell logger then I can see just how high my individual cell voltages get with a full cycle from the inverter/charger. That will give... |

Re: LiFePo4 for DUMMIES
Deckofficer the problem I'm having is not really with the inverter/charger but with the Housepower BMS alarming at 14.2v. Whenever the cell logger gets here I plan to use it for the alarm buzzer so... |

Re: LiFePo4 for DUMMIES
Wow! First I'm not a boater (bad back, vertigo, bad knees killed that dream years ago), I'm living full-time in my motorhome. I've been researching LiFePO4's for about 3 years and finally installed... |

Re: LiFePo4 for DUMMIES
So for charging LiFePO4's you just want a constant current/constant voltage until the current drops to close to 0 then shut off the charger? So other than that there is nothing special about a... |
