Try the soapy water first. If not satisfied, try a mild acid as mentioned upthread. Oh... you don't say what material the rigging screws are made of. If bronze, perhaps some Brasso or equivalent... |

Most hardware stores sell oxalic acid crystals, usually labeled as wood bleach or concrete cleaner, etc. When purchased this way it is VERY inexpensive. Mix up a couple of ounces of the powder in a... |
