You can try Arco-Hutton(The Australian Winch Company) in Sydney, Australia. They have spares for barients, and IIRC do offer conversion to self tailing.

Barient used a different nomenclature for winch sizes. Instead of quoting the mechanical advantage offered by the gearing and drum diameter, they used the measured static pull offered with a nominal...
