Maybe you should state what model Pactor you are looking at. $100 seems way too cheap.

The Pactor II's with the III firmware are fine. The older ones have a serial interface instead of USB (or Bluetooth). You can use a serial-to-USB dongle to get the data into your computer. Be aware...
