On a full time cruising boat you have the opposite issue also of having unreliable voltage readings because of charge currents from solar - which might be for a long portion of the day. |

You will still need to supplement with the genset. 450 watt solar is not going to provide 140ah x 24v = 3.3kwh per day. |

That was my point. You can purchase flex panels for a fifth of the Solbian cost. While the Solbian have better connectors it is hard to justify their costs. If you replaced the cheap panels every 3... |

That's about 4 to 5 times the price of cheap panels. Hard to justify. |
