So to some a boat isn't worthy unless the keel can survive the boat being driven up on a beach :facepalm: I don't expect my boat's keel to survive that, so I make it a point to avoid it happening. |

Seems to me that the only real answer is that if you do a hard grounding the keel needs to be dropped for inspection. I doubt many people do that, so the need real answer is to not get a boat has... |

I don't really understand this thread anymore. To me all we really know is that that keel fell off, but that it had help along the way. |
