I've been to West Marine a few times that past couple of weeks. Yes they seem to have more lifestyle stuff, but they still had all the nuts/bolts and other stuff they normally have at the store I go...

seems weird that people who say they don't spend money at WM would have anything really to say about their changing their business plan or what they stock at the stores

Can't really blame WM, their job is to sell stuff and if people don't come go to the stores to buy it why would they waste money having it. The only people to blame are the cheap sailors!

I didn't even know WN emphasized sailing to start with. At my local superstore WM I think only 1 aisle is just sailing stuff. Every other one is clothes and general BOATING related stuff.
