Not really.... a good swell over tide situation such as you can get in Canal Chacao or Estrecho de la Maire will do it... with no wind at all.

That said when I get back to town in June I am...

Same same my system.

However I can run the engine for several hours quite happily and then have the pump lose prime.... happens if she takes a heavy roll to port.... cooling intake is right next...

What I do when changing a raw water impeller..

Close seacock.

Change impeller.

Take the top off the raw water strainer which should be situated somewhere between seacock and pump, maybe 12...
