Wait a sec...you have a generator? Just charge up the battery bank with it occasionally...being careful of exhaust fumes. |

If you aren't going to fix the alternator before heading out...the long answer may be worth while. Most small diesels can be hand started but not always easy. :flowers: Used to have a 75hp... |

If you are at the point the battery can't turn the motor over...yeah, it could help. But if the battery is strong, it's a coin flip which will use more as the decompression method is typically... |

Unless there is a starting issue, it's unlikely this will save any significant amount. In fact if it starts in a second or two, it's likely going to eat up more amp-hr as the process is likely to... |
