Wow, that's a significant change from a year ago, at least here in the States on the east coast. Last fall Betas in that range were about 10% cheaper than comparable Yanmars. Must be the exchange...

The only fact is my own experience, which is newer Yammers run a bit smoother and are slightly more efficient. I've always assumed it was because of the electronic controls, but it may not be that,...

Are you sure a new tranny is not included in the Beta but not in with the Yanmar? Different salesmen assume different things when pricing.

The Beta may be the less expensive install given their...
