If Anydesk can run on a Raymarine axiom it may be it supports some VNC as well. You have to consult your Axiom manual to find out how to do it I suppose.
Then OCPN and Axiom has to be on same...

Did you try to switch off "AIS/ARPA on PPI" to see if your crash still occur without...

To confirm you can in "View" switch off "AIS/ARPA on PPI" to check if this is your problem.

If so you can get a version correcting this, v5.5.0-beta4, by:
In Options->Plugins-> "Settings..." *)...

Navico (https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/tags/navico.html) RDR1042 part number seems to be a cable for a (JRC-type) radome radar. Not supported by radar plugin.

The descriptions say's Pin 5 so you have to solder on your Amphenol at a point connecting to that pin on the radar RJ45 connector. Search for RJ45 pinout if in doubt of it's location.

If you've radar plugin version 5.5.0, and use AIS on PPI window, you may try the Beta version 5.5.2-alpha.
Options->Plugins->Settings->Change to "Plugin Catalog": Beta -> Done.

There are no such specifications to list apart from it should be "broadband" type connected by the IP protocol. The instructions to control and read scanner data is in the plugin's code....

The radar plugin can control and use all functions of the connected radar. No MFD needed.

If I understand it correct the Halo 20 is comparable with the previous 4G and the doppler function is not available.

Ok, so I made a longer test with the corrected code without an instant crash.
And.. Yes I can confirm that as well. It's what called a memory leak while using AIS on the PPI window. Hmm.....

The OCPN crash while showing AIS targets on the PPI I could reproduce on a OCNP based on on current Git master branch, waht's used for further development. That bug is now identified...
