Even if the tip of the galvanized anchor starts rusting, it clears up when used. Just keep using it. It should last you as long as you own the boat. If a little rust bothers you, take it somewhere... |

If you plan to do serious cruising, a heavier and good type anchor is a good idea. For a stern anchor, you can use something lighter, like Fortress. |
