These rod holders are on the aft rails of a 24'-wide catamaran. We have an additional 2 on the transom rail adjacent to the steps on each pontoon. They've never gotten in the way during sailing or...

I have 4 of these on the stern. Looking at adding another centerline on the stern somehow to get a good spread. BTW, I picked up the book The Cruisers Handbook of Fishing. Bunch of good references.
