Yah and I'm sure just seeing the number of supporters who are prepared to put real cash to back up their good will is going to help against the tide of judgmentalism.

I saw one on CA and couldn't hold my tongue due to it's crappiness, hate to think what the SA one is like (if there is a different one).

Thats what I thought, it's sad they sunk it basically because of SOP.

Did it have AIS? It's not much of a navigation hazard to big ships and it wasn't moving very fast in a very big ocean :(

So Atoll, was a possible leaking stuffing box even a concern for you?

EDIT: just saw the supposition about heat exchanger etc.

So sad they lost their boat :(

Someone mentioned above it is well provisioned, Atoll (I'm sure you already have this in mind), I'd be somewhat careful of what I ate in case the source of salmonella is onboard if the salvage plan...
