I've fastened a short plastic tube to the engine-exhaust port. One to two inches or so. Creates a bit of a chimney and helps prevent soot stains. |

A few years back I had a 1985 Catalina 25 w/Universal diesel and marine head. Headroom was a bit too low, but it had a pop top that worked okay once anchored. |

Also, check which engine is installed. Early C-320s used 29-hp engines from Perkins, later ones used Yanmar engines. Different alternators for each, of course. |
