Re: dealing with Jabsco poor quality control

When two out of the four threaded rods that held the macerator pump and motor together failed and leaked, I looked to replace the unit.
But then I found that Jabsco sold an “upgrade” package: for...

When I brought it...

Re: Perkins diesel randomly stopping

Remove the mixing elbow and inspect the inside for corrosion buildup. On my Perkins M30 at the same age, the clog was so bad it choked the engine.

Re: Is it time to change exhaust mixing elbows?

The mixing elbow on my 3-cylinder Perkins is a nicely solid iron casting, and at 2,000 engine hours it looked brand new.

But hot gases and salt water turned the interior into rust, and the buildup...

Re: Need product recommendation to remove exhaust soot off painted hull

Re: Largest trailer sale boat with diesel

A few years back I had a 1985 Catalina 25 w/Universal diesel and marine head.
Headroom was a bit too low, but it had a pop top that worked okay once anchored.

Re: DOES ANONE KNOW THE LOCATION OF CATALINA 320 REGULATOR

Also, check which engine is installed.
Early C-320s used 29-hp engines from Perkins, later ones used Yanmar engines. Different alternators for each, of course.

I carry a can of fuel additive called "Start Your Engines" by Sta-Bil in the...
