Re: Battery BMS not equal to Victron Smart shunt/Cerbo GX

JP -- is the Kilovault app showing 1/2 amps of the Victron SmartShunt?

Do you have a known load, like a string of 12v incandescent light bulbs in series (interior house light?)? Assuming each...

Re: Battery BMS not equal to Victron Smart shunt/Cerbo GX

Here's the Kilovault charge/discharge voltages vs. SOC. I've watched the charge cycle sitting at about 13.5v till 90% SOC, where voltages rapidly rise to 14.1v at 100% SOC.

Re: Battery BMS not equal to Victron Smart shunt/Cerbo GX

I have exactly the same situation -- my BMV 702 and KV app SOC differ by more than 10%. Kilovault support suggested I cycle the battery by fully charging to 100% then fully discharging, then...

Re: Victron Orion 12/12-30 Amps at Float

I'm trying to estimate how many amphours per day will be used to keep an AGM in float plus overhead of Orion DC/DC - no other loads. I won't get back to the boat till June, so I can't test this out....

Re: Spectra annular rings / nickel bronze fittings

We have similar experience with bronze fittings scoring the annular rings, also in the Sea of Cortez. We typically run the watermaker every 2 days and religiously did the 3 minute flush. 3rd...

Re: Galvanizing -- how far to go

We also had our chain regalvanized in Mexicalli - 175' for around $75. We dropped it off at the end of our sailing season in October and picked it back up at the beginning of the next season in...

Re: Open Source Arduino Alternator Regulator

I would add presets for different battery profiles with the option to override bulk/abs/float voltages and time.

I'm not sure I appreciate the need for real-time display. My Balmar is buried in...

Re: Guadalupe Island / Pacific Baja / Mexico

Thanks for the info -- conditions for crew joining us for the return was to swim with the sharks. This does not appear to be an option and is a long way out of the way home.

For me, the problem with No Foreign Land is the ability to export a track is missing. I like to keeps the tracks in OpenCPN.
