AB 9.5' Aluminum haul rib and a Mercury 8 hp 2 stroke. Easily planes with 2 180 lb adults in any and all conditions. Same boat and a 2.3 hp honda won't plane period.

No, the decompression lever is where it should be. Mind you, I've been using it to fill and bleed the fuel lines.

Thanks I'll check for air leaks in the lines. The fuel tank is poly and the filters and bowels were clean but I changed them anyway.

It's pretty obvious that your head gasket failed, hence the water in the oil and the milky color. Might need a carb kit and a carb overhaul as well. Probably at least a $500 job depending on where...

The Aloha 32 looks like a scaled down version of a Niagara 35. Both designs by Mark Ellis. They are decent sailors.

Funny, the control rod slid back and forth easily when the pumps were installed. That's why I'm puzzled. Got all the linkages, springs and governor hooked up correctly, I think.

Tanzer 26 is has a robust hull and rig, pretty basic and simple. The actually sail very well. The motor is worth $2000 at least. You haven't got much to loose.
