I am considering mounting the drive on a Stainless Steel bracket that will be mounted/bolted to the underside of the cockpit sole. I will use a large/long bracket to spread the load.

I do not think any formula can be applied to this one. For example, I just sold a boat I was asking $17,900 and would have taken much less. then asking $14,900 and would have taken a little less....

Well put. I have been surfing my entire life and at the right spot 3' @10 seconds is all I need to have a good time. I wonder if these cold fronts pushing off the east coast have produced.........

The south coast of Barbados seems to be a mix between the calm Caribbean and Atlantic so hopefully you could get some surf and some protected anchorages.
