When you take the winch off the mounting plate I believe you will find the casting is not flat on the bottom, but concave. The edge of the winch has cracked and broken off. I can see another crack...

It looks like chrome plated steel with a bit of undercut on the weld. Just clean it periodically as outlined above. There are numerous kinds of stainless that have magnetic properties, the old magnet...

Someone on this forum developed an app called SailFreeGPS. Haven't tried it on the water but it seems quite functional. Works on Android, free to download and I'm impressed. Quick download, check it...

Most of the major names have a contour mapping "fish finder" these days.

Saturday morning fishing shows are great for this info. Even my electric motor has a built in GPS.

Sounds like it's working to me. My 115 Merc outboard charges at 14.6 according to my depth sounder.

Sounds like your basic 120 volt electric crane. Unscrew the plastic cover and plug in a 120 volt cord and hit the down button. Make sure it's actually 120 and not 12 or 24 V.:thumb:
