Re: Beautiful boats and compliments..
I agree, the Cherubini 44s and 48s are some of the prettiest GRP boats, particularly for those of us who love the LFH look. |

Re: True Kit/ TakaCat Experience Requested
I have a 3M Takacat with a Torqueedo on a powercat, and I like it for it's stability, and the fact that is weighs less than 100lbs with the engine. I got the PVC model reasoning that the by-along... |

Re: Takacat dinghy - any good?
I have a 300, powered by a Torqueedo. Total package under 100lbs. Comes very close to planing, but not quite. So far, I am very happy, but I bought it for weight and stability. |

Re: Your first boat.
13 Ft Boston Whaler with an 18 hp. I loved that boat, and even kept the bronze bow cleat polished to a high shine. |

Re: 42' Steel Carter/Maas Sloop Sailboat, go anywhere!
Only an inexperienced buyer would buy a 1960s steel boat without a survey, and probably audiogauging the boat. In any case, insurance will require it. |

Re: Washer/Dryer Combo Unit
I have a vented Splendide combo unit, which I am very happy with, and had one on my previous boat as well. In both cases, I replaced the existing unvented Splendide combo which I was not happy with.... |

Re: Best prices for ropes replacement
Rope Inc in Fort Lauderdale has great prices on first class products. Been in business a long time, and big buying power. |

Re: ICW Question- East Coast Florida
If you are concerned, I would use Ft Pierce or Palm Beach. St Lucie is probably ok, and you could contact Tow Boat Us down there to help you with current conditions. I prefer not to worry, and would... |

Re: Getting Exercise Living on a Boat is Difficult
I use TRX, and a Hobie SUP, which works like a Stairmaster. If I use the Hobie for 90 minutes, it gives me the same exercise as 60 minutes on a stairmaster according to my Apple Watch. They now make... |

Re: Guess we are buying a boat
Congratulations on your new boat, and your cruising plan. As you both seem to be as addicted to exercise as I am, I wonder if you have given much thought to exercise on board? I have a TRX, as well... |

Re: Know any Deep Water Marinas or Docks in Palm Beach or Jupiter
Maybe Safe Harbor NPB, although I am not sure about the draft. Palm Harbor in West Palm Beach would probably work, but may be booked. There are marinas in Ft Pierce which would be cheaper, but it is... |

Re: "Evicted": Marina Won't Renew Contract for Next Year to maximize Profit
In general, there are two models of allocation for dockage or mooring balls: Price or waiting lists. In Maine, I know of some harbors where a person retiring to the area in their 60s would have no... |

Re: Winter “Stay aboard” in NYC
Liberty would actually be better than 79St because there would be less motion from wakes. |

Re: How to do a boat show?
Not for sail boats. For Sail, I would say Annapolis, Newport, or Miami. Newport might not be as good for Multihulls. Best, Maldwin |

Sailing from Seattle to Fort Lauderdale
Good Evening All, I am considering a 50 foot motorsailor with a 9 knot cruise and about 1,000 mile range under power. Obviously, I could ship the boat, but I would quite like to make the trip,... |

Re: How old is your boat?
2008Nordhavn, so 12 years old, 8 when I bought her. For me, that is brand new, as most of my boats have been from the 50s and 60s. |
