Re: Trailering express cruiser... what size?

One other item of note..... I have a tongue extension on my trailer. It allows me an extra 8' of room to back the trailer in further at the ramp. This is especially good in times of low water and...

Re: A good inexpensive varnish

Re: Great Lakes Advice (risky venture for newbie?)

Trailering..... You'll have to be sure that the trailer is up to the trip and that you have the right towing vehicle to do so. Lets start up front and move back. The tow vehicle will need a brake...

Re: Are You a Non-Tech Sailor....?

Having grown up sailing Sunfish and Hobies on Lake Ontario, I tend to lean towards the low tech side of things. I run with wind, speed and depth gauge,s from the PO, along with a compass. Yet I still...

Re: The NEW Bahamas Travel Advisory

I had a place on Grand Bahama near Silver Beach (Lucaya area). We never had any problems. I was in my late 20's and early 30's and was not afraid to go anywhere.

That said, just like akprb...

Re: Block/ deck organizers vs load?

Now I’m no master rigger, but I do know enough about physics to be dangerous. Using round numbers, you assume your 2,000 lbs of force on the halyard at the head. At a 1:1 ratio that force is being...

Re: Looking to get first boat

There are a ton of options out there..... I took a look at the listings just on Champlain.... I saw a Bristol 24 for $2k.... If it floats and doesn't leak water from above, go for it.
