A 6.354 Perkins has 500 amp instantaneous starting draw followed by 80-100 amps once cranking. If you don’t have at least 600 amps lithium , the BMS is going to open.

Absolutely not, try coming into a harbor on a foggy night, buoys aren’t always where they are supposed to be, boats at anchor……….but I guess it depends on the boating you do and where you do it.

We like our motorsailer, 8.5 knots average speed motoring or motor sailing, just less rpm’s with sails up, average 6 knots under sail alone.
