i ended up with a compromise. purchased a cooper 353 pilothouse. huge amounts of space sails pretty good too. great liveaboard feel. |

mastervolt makes some very nice products as do victron and magnum. here in canada my issue with victron is the horrific lack of tech support, whereas magnum has been excellent. |

No TV for me haven't had cable in years. That said I do have an hp 24in all in 1 pc that I use to watch netflix or dvd's. It sits on my salon table with a hook mount to keep it from falling over. |

living in the pnw i think that one would need to have both solar and wind generation to be self sufficient here. in the summer months lost of sun but not a lot of wind. comes winter months not much... |
