Re: Hot shower options good enough for the girlfriend to move in

To be fair it seems to me sometimes Harbour Masters want exactly this. In other words strictly you arent meant to live aboard, but the Harbour Master knows a lot do, and as long as they dont make it...

Re: Hot shower options good enough for the girlfriend to move in

Re: Lifepo4 Charging

Thank you.

Its 12V.

The largest chargers readily available appear to be 100A / 12V.

I was thinking of two of these;

Lifepo4 Charging

For a 600 or 800 AH bank what is the highest sensible charge rate (I understand they can pretty much absorb everything you chuck at them) and if I am correct are there any really "larger" chargers...

Re: Manual vs electric head?

I think with electric it is worth going the whole hog and having freshwater vac. system. You have the added advantage of no smell. I have found them very reliable. We have two on board and realtively...

Gel, colour matching and alternatives?

I have some damage on the hull where a fender came adrift and the pontoon has rubbed through the gel coat.

I could apply some gel and either get a custom match or the best match possible.

Re: Boat for Florida Keys

Island Packet??

You might struggle on the budget for a large one, but drawing 5 foot 3, it was desgned for the Keys and we dive off the sugar scope.

Great live-a-board.

Re: Barnicles on glass of Graco Strainer

Just add some copper sulphate. Its very toxic to marine molluscs and marine invertebrates generally and will keep the system clean.

Re: Air conditioning

It will make a lot of difference to a cabin if the cabin can be closed off. I have a similiar output in the aft cabin and with the door closed it works great and saves running the other units.

Re: How to mount a new winch on mast

Yes, indeed, unfortunately I dont have one and it didnt seem justified for just this task. I could have taken the teak to a workshop but the hole saw has worked - just requires going slowly!

Re: How to mount a new winch on mast

What I can say is...
