The water was coming int through the stuffing box, when they replaced that we have had no further leaks. I have asked for them to leave me the old starter and I will have it rebuilt:wink:

There was a sticker.... the issue was they put a disposable plastic sleeve on the sling with each lift. They either didn’t drop the sling low enough to compensate for the air bubble in the plastic...

we are guessing the stuffing box. The shaft is heka-bent. If the stuffing box wasn't the issue before it certainly is now. it was flooding in. We drained it on the sling and then put it back in...

Ok I believe the count is:
Two coats barrier coat
Filling voids
Two coats epoxy
Bottom paint goes on today/tomorrow
Drops in on Friday

Bottom hasnt been peeled back since about 2006 or before
