Re: Anchor One Size Up, chain too small?

Re: Smaller capacity watermakers?

Katadyn PowerSurvivor units are small scale. The smallest model (40e) makes 1.5gph @ 12v/4a. They are physically smaller and have smaller power requirements, but aren't any less expensive or more...

Re: Tohatsu 6HP vs Honda 5HP

Why not buy gas with alcohol or install a fuel/water separator rather than buy alcohol free gas and then add alcohol?

Re: Forced at gunpoint to jump off a sailboat in the Exumas

Re: AUS: Heterosexual rape and abuse alleged with Crewbay and Find-a-Crew

Part of the reason it looks disproportionate is because the rules are unfair. If a person was nonconsensually penetrated, it counts as rape in rape statistics. If a person was nonconsensually...

Re: Heaving to to recharge?

But it's not a constant 50 watts generated. It probably averages 50 watts over the course of an hour. The output is constantly varying as the boat speeds up and slows down from wind gusts and surfing...

Re: Heaving to to recharge?

You didn't know exactly what I meant? 50 watts * 24 hours = 1.2kwh which is more than the deficit OP talked about.

50wh per h better for you? 100s of wh per h clearer? Yes. I was sloppy with my...

Re: Outboard Battery size

Is there a voltage regulator on the charging circuit of the motor? If not, the battery size could be so you don't cook the battery charging it rather than cranking power needed to start it.
