I’d suggest trying Harbortown Marina in Merritt Island, Westland in Titusville or Cape Marina at Cape Canaveral.

Re: Yanmar Engines

Maybe a bit off topic, but what’s the harm in just taking the thermostat out entirely?

Re: Battery Monitor Comparison - Victron BMV712 vs Balmar SG200

FWIW - in my opinion a lot depends on what type of batteries you have and what info you really need.

For reference, I have FLA golf cart batteries and the original SmartGauge, which I much prefer...

Re: What ever happened to Active Captain?

It looks like Aqua Maps does cover the TennTom.

Not sure I understand the uproar about Garmin and Active Captain. This is the world we live in. The Active Captain database and info is still out...

Re: Tachometer on a Yanmar 3GM30FC with saildrive

Agreed! Didn’t intend to discount the wisdom of the forum - I have learned a tremendous amount by reading here.

Re: Tachometer on a Yanmar 3GM30FC with saildrive

Have you tried contacting your local Yanmar parts supplier? He should be able to use your engine serial number to look up exactly what you need.

Re: Your 27 - 32 ft story...

My first boat in that range is my current boat - 1981 Endeavour 32 - and I’ve had her for almost 13 years now. Have done a lot of sailing along the Florida east coast and the Keys, been to the...

Re: Maintainance tracking software

I use the BoatMinder app on my phone to track maintenance items on my sailboat. There’s a version for motor vessels also I believe.

Re: Moved to Orlando - East or West Coast Marina?

Before I retired I lived in Orlando and kept my boat in Merritt Island. Very convenient. Easy drive both directions with never any traffic, great daysailing on the river, the easiest inlet on the...

Re: Trouble deciding on Ipad Nav apps

I have both iNavX and the Navionics Boating HD apps and use them both. The iNavX app hosts Explorer charts for the Bahamas which I prefer over the Navionics charts for some things and it is much...

Re: Is a tent worth owning?

I keep an Eno hammock and fly on my boat, and have used them occasionally, mostly on day trios. They are lightweight and stow easily which makes them great for the boat. I also use them for...

Re: Advice for ports sailing south along the east coast.

Cumberland Island is a good place to check out....unique history, beautiful scenery, and a quiet and convenient anchorage. I’ve never run the inlet, but I understand St. Mary’s inlet is one of the...

Re: Best mail order source for Yanmar parts?

It has been my experience that real Yanmar parts are hard to get shipped because Yanmar has a pretty strict territory protection setup for their parts suppliers....you’ll probably need to find you’re...

Ahhhh.....I missed the 8’ draft! The OP will definitely be limited to the inlets at Jacksonville, Port Canaveral, Ft. Pierce, West Palm, Ft. Lauderdale, and Miami. Marinas the the last three are...

Re: finding a permanent slip east coast florida

Try Active Captain for browsing marinas along the coast there. Harbortown in Merritt Island is nice (it’s where I have my boat now) and there are several good marina in Ft. Pierce - Harbortown and...

Re: Port Canaveral Lock with a Sailing Catamaran

You won’t have any problem in that size catamaran. I’ve gone through a few times on a friend’s Manta 42. There are lots of cleats to grab on the lock walls, and the typical lift / drop is usually...

I’ll second the Marine beam suggestion. I installed one of these last year and love it. https://www.google.com/amp/s/store.marinebeam.com/amp/smart-led-tri-color-anchor-light-and-strobe-n3-tri-cmb/

Re: Florida - Where are best sailing grounds?

I’ll second Sailor Boy’s comments, and add that getting to the Cape Canaveral área from Orlando is orders of magnitude easier than anywhere on the gulf coast. It can easily take 2-3 hours to get to a...
