  1. Seaworthy Lass
    RIP Wolfenzee (David Ewoldt).

David "Wolfenzee" passed away at 4:38 am Aug 9th 2013 after a seizure while at anchor in Port Townsend. He will be sadly missed by all his friends at CF.

Good luck on the other side David.

    Hey wolf,
I see you are vetting for crew. If you hire out of port Angles, give me a pm. I have had some experience with local crew, good and bad.

Hi bud. As you can see by my posts, I now keep my boat in Oregon and run it up to the Salish during the summer when it suits me. I would not go beyond cape flattery without at least two experienced sailors on board- and by that I mean two experienced in the Pacific out here. There is so much happening out there you cannot do it by "directing" the crew alone. It is worth it even if you have to rent a delivery captain. Believe me I know.

How goes the search? I think we spoke before. I'm planning on moving my boat up to the Philippines to get a new mast on. Phil

I really need to stop in and visit. I was there on Saturday to check on my chainplates and a couple of other projects.
I'm familiar with the Thistle, I'd love to learn more.

    Very cool!
I'll be sure to look you up real soon. I'll be in PT in another few days and will hunt you down.
So I read on your profile that your refitting your boat. And you said we have the same designer? I didn't recognize your line drawing (yet), I was thinking maybe a Thistle?
I'd love to see what you have going on. I'm in the middle of refitting mine as well. I have the inside just about gutted and am getting ready to start tabbing some cabinets in. This boat was never completed so I have a pretty clean slate to start with.

I look forward to meeting another person doing this. This is only my second boat and I'm fairly new to sailing, not to mention rebuilding (building?) an Orca. I'm having a blast though and learning fast.

I'll look forward to seeing your boat and meeting you soon.

PS I'm in Eagle Harbor marina (e13) on Bainbridge if your ever over this way.

    Hey Wolfenzee,

I'd love to stop by and meet you. I was in PT just yesterday and will be there again probably next week.

we have switched gears and are now going to Bellingham. We found significantly cheaper haul out and bottom paint fees there - and they will let us live aboard on the hard there. However, next time we are in Port Townsend, I'll head over to slip 59 and say hi.

Be looking for you out on the water - Rover -

looks like we'll be there in about a week. I'll look for your boat.
We'll be on the Far From Turtle - a 42' ketch - don't know yet whether we will be in the yard first or just at a slip. Have a lot of work to do.
