Hi Chris,
In a recent thread related to suppressing alternator spikes you mentioned that the Balmar TSP-12/24 (Fused Zap-Stop Diode) is not suitable. Seabourne Solutions LLC has a patent pending means of reliably and repeatedly suppressing alternator spikes (e.g. as a result of disconnecting the alternator from a battery) to below 25V. The patent pending technology also obtains more energy from an alternator at low rpm. Let me know if Balmar would have an interest. -John
Hi Chris. I would like to volunteer as a tester for your Bluetooth dongle. I have an SG-200 installed two months ago on my 2013 Jeanneau SO469 sailboat with 5 new firefly batteries as a bank. I also updated my 125amp Valero alternator with the Balmar external MC614 regulator kit. I live in Virginia Beach and plan on sailing a good bit over the summer here. I use an iPhone 8 and a fairly new iPad on the boat. If this setup meets your testing needs I can be reached at 7574600249 or via message here. The site didn’t allow me to post my e mail address in this message.
Thanks for the reply! Well... I won't be getting a Dux then..! was hoping that it was the perfect cruising dingy but alas - what is...??! And a wet ride - pretty much the opposite of what I'm looking for.
You previously asked for a BR24 version of the OpenCPN Gradar plugin. Are you still interested? I've finally finished a hack for the SIMRAD unit. I don't know if it'll work with the G versions though. Let me know if you're interested.
Hi Chris,
We are going out of town at 3pm today, but may be back Sunday afternoon. I can call you when we are back if that will work for you. Neal and Beth ..thanks!
