    Biography
    Sailing is a practice in mindfulness. It teaches us to be present with the world, with the elements around us. It also teaches us that if we forget about the now, if we let our attention slip (perhaps reflecting a bit too much) things go wrong: sails luff, we fall off course, or worse, we impact with something else. Sailing teaches all we need to know, we just need to listen. Lao Tzu said “At the center of your being you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want.” At the helm, true clarity can appear and lead you to your authentic self, it’s just a matter of listening.
