Having just gone through the rudder rebuild on my boat, consider the following.


It is certainly helpful to get blueprints and specs from the manufacture to determine what will be needed for the rudder and the skeg. You will also find it very helpful to check with several firms here that fabricate replacement blades for production boats.


You can then decide if you want to take on this project.
