We are on the east coast of Sabah near Tawau where we will get our social visa using our new CAIT. Then off to Sulawesi, Halmahera, Irian Jaya, PNG, Solomons, Vanuatu then maybe New Cal then on to east coast OZ where ever we blow up. Quarantine has lessened the requirements for animal importation to quarantine for 10 days from CERTAIN countries - such as Vanuatu & ?? solomons. Have a look at their website.

Kaspar is still easily flying beneath the radar of Malaysia. We won't be getting a PNG visa as Jayapura consulate no longer gives visas.

Enjoy Langkawi - cheap booze BUT very Islamic compared to Sarawak & Sabah BUT with a cat it is not a problem for you. How are you on the island? Telaga Harbor is our favorite. Look up cats - Que Pasa & Coracle (South africans) - very experienced and Honey or Hemmingway aka Honey from OZ who have just purchased their Catana.

We have not left yet. However we have found that you need an export pemit from Australian Quarantine. For a dog you need a rabies shot and a blood titre done at least a month before arriving and not later than 12 monhs before to enter Indo & Malaysia. To get an Oz export permit you need to get an import permit for Indo which is then only valid for 1 month. So better to get it in Darwin if you are going on the rally.

With a cat it would be much easier just ignoring all that and having it off the boat when you clear out & not mentioning it to the Indos or Malaysians as they do not come aboard your vessel when you clear in.
