Biography

As a Native of Northern Michigan I grew up sailing the Great Lakes by. Commercially endorsed 200 ton Yachtmaster Ocean I have a basic command of Spanish, love to cook and eat well, and am budding engineer. I have been delivering sail boats for the last 12 years from as far north as Newport RI down to the Grenadines and know the Caribbean fairly well. Sometimes I am willing to train new owners on the basic passage planning, provisioning, boat system, navigational skills and good seaman ship or simply how to kite surf;). Seven years ago I trained for and received my commercially endorsed 200ton Yachtmaster Ocean ticket (witch includes cpr/ first aid, power boating, STCW certifications and many more) while sailing the South Atlantic and Indian around the cape of South Africa up the skeleton coast of Namibia, and all the way out to one of the most remote islands on earth-Saint Helena Island. This was my final exam- find this tiny island via Astral Navigation only no gps.
I am also capable of teaching astral navigation to the motivated student.
My friends describe me as easy going, witch is accurate.
PASA certified kite surf instructor I have taught more than a thousand people how to kite surf and pride myself on my coaching skills and temperament. After traveling the Americas teaching all over I opened my own kite surfing school and guest lodge on the outer banks of North Carolina in 2012 and have had many a great season there hosting and accommodating guest with sailing, kiting, SUPing, surfing, fishing, clamming, crabbing, gigging and kayaking lessons and adventures. I have a strong command of spanish and am looking for opportunities in the beginning of the new year. Let me know if you or any one you know is in need of someone with my skill sets.
