Hi Scott, Hoping you might have a tip for me. I have scoured the internet for answers with no luck. I have an old 1983 '43 Morgan Center Cockpit with a Hood in-mast electric furler. It only "motors" one way. I am trying to find out how to release it or find a manual or instructions for it or anything to help me get this working again. Any held would be so greatly appreciated! Sorry to bother you!
Hello Scott,
I just bought an M802 on Ebay, in "open box" condition. This is probably a European version. I got it to work in normal modes including Ham bands. But I want to check MMSI and set my own if possible. When I turn on the unit the initial display does *not* show either "NO MMSI" or any actual MMSI previously assigned. The user manual says to press MODE to get to the DSC menu, but MODE only gives me the modulation modes, no menus.
Also very strange, I find the display unit has no DSC button, but it has a CALL button in that location. When I press CALL I get a screen showing it's ready to go on 2182KHz, but attempts to follow the user manual into the DSC menu get nowhere - most buttons and the knobs are not active when I'm in that 2182KHz screen.
The unit SN is 01034 and there is no S/N on the control head unit.
Will gladly compensate you for any useable information you could provide.
Hi Scott,
I'm a long time potomac dc boater as well- perhaps we've crossed paths. I'm building a custom 28' x 13' houseboat, and looking to be able to leave it unattended for days at a time. I saw your post on anchoring in a tidal river, and was wondering what kind of set up you'd recommend. I'm thinking of using two 16lb danforth anchors with 10' of 1/2" galvanized chain and 5/16 chain connecting the rest of the way. Your thoughts would be much appreciated!

It's a real bluewater boat in a small package. I have about 10,000 miles in one and loved it"
Thank You Scott. That's very reassuring to one who will likely own one in a couple of days and hopes to leave it to the offspring
I was wondering if you have an idea on how I would remove a Splendide 2000 washer from our shelf behind the shower stall. I have the unit in the shower stall now, out of its shelf built by Tashing (Taswell 49), but it is too large to get any further, so I need a strategy for taking it apart in their to then pass parts into the aft cabin and out the hatch. I think it is also heavy (185 lb ?).
