Hey Nell, I saw your post on the Dinner Key / CGSC hurricane evacuation plans. We live in the grove and because there were no spots at CGSC keep our boat on a ball at the city marina. I would love to learn more about what to do in the event of a hurricane down here. We brought her down from the NE where she survived a handful of cat1 and 1 cat2 storm.

Any way, would be great to be prepared and know what do down here.

    Thank you!

    Hi Nell
Just pushing out a friendly note to you folks. I am also recently retired and seeking some adventure now. I did a 30 day sailing tour of the baltics in 2015 and sold my 30ft Muira this year. Got my Coastal skippers ticket but other than 2015...probable about 5000nm under the belt. I would like to crew with you guys if you still looking for hands. Timing is not a problem for me. Ready to go. Drop me a line to alan at aerosat dot co dot za cheers. Alan (South African)

    Hi,

Thanks for your interest! I guess my struggle will be working out "the right price." There are a couple signed copies online at ridiculous money, which is not the level I'm at. (Those folks run bookstores and have huge inventory and can wait.)

The book's up on eBay right now, but I think that might not be the best move on my part. Let me think on a reasonable price.

    Thanks,

    MBC

Do you still own your Walker Bay Genesis? Which model? How's it holding up? I'm replacing a 9.5' Caribe and I'm thinking about the 310. But they say a 15hp will require the heavier 310 FT Deluxe? I'd rather have the light!
