    Hi skipper,

Looks like I'm going to be your neighbor. I'll be taking ownership of a 41' Beneteau at Chico Marina in just over a week. I was checking out all of the Pensacola threads and came across a post by you. I'm a little concerned about hurricane season and what to do. I wouldn't mind hearing what you have to say about it, and maybe meeting up in person soon. I plan to be staying aboard much of the winter, then returning to cooler Wisconsin for hurricane season.

Hi skipper, thanks for your military service, USAF myself. A friend showed me a exhaust pipe on-line for a Perkins 4-236. It had your oldcal46skipper handle next to it. I was busy sailing at the time. Do you make these, I am in need. Thanks! Seatrooper

Thanks! It has a raw water pump, but it's a pully-driven one. I suppose I'm going to have to have two belts to drive this and the alternator.

People are saying the governor may need to be re-worked. I'm sending the injectors out, but looks like it's pretty good to me. Anyhow, thanks for your reply.

    Hi oldcal46skipper!

I'm currently looking at replacing my 4.108 with a 4.108 that came off of a Kohler generator. The engine looks a bit different on the pulley side. I can't seem to see a raw water pump, etc. I'm only looking at pictures. Do you know of any big reasons why this engine wouldn't be a suitable replacement?

I just located this message. Sorry for the delay. Thanks for the lead. I hope this is a PM but U am not 100% certain. I am trying to send my e-mail address but the system is telling me that this is not allowed. Technology! I will continue trying

    Hi OldCalSkipper,
Thanks for the offer to send breakin instructions for my rebuilt Perkins 4-108. I recall you rebuild and sell them-but I needed a winter project. After all is said and done, your prices seem like a very fair deal, though I as glad for the project during these strange times of confinement-plus I know my engine a little better now. If you can send those instructions I would be grateful. My email: jpendoley at hotmail.com
    thanks!

Hello! I saw a comment you made about your Saye's Rig on your Cal 46. If you have a minute some time, I'd love to send a question or two your way. I'm thinking of finding one for my full-keeled ketch. A different animal from your boat for sure, but it's not all that easy to find folks with experience using them on any boat. Thanks for considering!

    Hello Oldcal46Skipper,

Sorry to trouble you, but I am getting ready to purchase a 1968 Cal 2-46 and saw on an old thread that you knew what your hull number is. Could you possibly offer any advice on where I should look to find it? Thank you in advance for any and all tips.

    Respectfully~

Was reading through a thread on pilothouse boats and thought I saw mention that your Cal 46 is for sale. Is it listed online?
