I'm interested in getting a pre-purchase survey for a Cabo Rico 38 sailboat. Could you tell me the name of the surveyor who was "in bed" with the broker? Thanks very much, Rick Marcus

I saw your response about a Surveyor who was "in bed" with the broker in the Fort Lauderdale area. I'm currently in the process of lining up a surveyor for a 48ft cat. The guy I've heard the most positive recos about (including from people I know) is Jon Sands, but unfortunately, he's also the guy the broker suggested. I wanted to see if that happened to be the Surveyor you had a bad experience with?

This would be of interest. I have sailed for about 15 years. I have my ASA 101, 103, 104, 105, 106, 114, and RYA day skipper certifications. Have about 6000 nm. Have owned my own boats and just sold my Jeanneau 45 mono and looking to do more sailing. Can you be more specific on timing, how long, etc. Looks like several weeks to a couple months and probably couldn't do it all but could do several weeks. I am 72, very fit, willing to share all costs with you, and may be able to get my GF to go for all or some of it.

My wife and I are looking for just such an opportunity but won't be available until after October. I have a USCG 100ton license, am a NAUI SCUBA instructor and my wife is a professional chef. We have sailing experience in the Lesser and Windward Antilles as well as the USVI and BVI. We are familiar with Leopard 44 and Lagoon 440 Cats. My wife speaks three languages fluently and remains calm and effective in emergencies. I am very mechanically inclined, have First Aid training as part of my certifications and am a pretty good story teller. Both of us are healthy, non-smokers and do not use recreational drugs. We do drink alcohol moderately but never while underway. When November rolls around if you're still looking for experienced, easy going crew please let us know by PM'ing me here. Aloha.
