Hi Maximos! I'm new to this forum also, and new to sailing but a long term powerboat owner. Most of the people on here that respond are hard core sailing types and you can expect to get a little sarcasm from them. I don't see many posts about cruising yachts. If you are new to boating, the best advice is to buy as cheap and as small a boat as you think you can stand, then buy one smaller than that. Unless you plan to just tie up to the dock and entertain, you don't want to buy a large boat at a high price and end up selling it at a low price when you figure out what you want. There are a few things you need to know, large gasoline powered cruising boats burn LOTS of fuel. Buy a ten year old boat with diesels that is well kept and over equipped (you can even sell the excess equipment) or better yet, buy beer and gas for a friend for twenty weekends until you get a good idea of what you want. Good luck and welcome to the forum! Michael
