    Hi Lou,

    Apologies for replying late - I have problem seeing comments posted at my profile as I stray in this part of the interface only once in a while.

    Anyways: you asked about what boat we have that has so little weather helm. Our boat is a Swedish designed / built Allegro 27. It is a deceptively Colin Archer like boat as the underbody is completely different from those of true CA boats or their copies like the Westsail family (generic). The ease of control is common in many other designs of the koster type of that era: Laurin 32, Allegro, OE 32, Vagabond 32, Lord Helmsman, to name a few. They are hardly the best boats for the coconut milk run (no doubleender is), but they are a dream to steer by hand in any sort of seas.
