    Hi, Jack.

    I used eye bolts through the transom (2) and a D-ring patch in the bow (1). I made up two "Y" shaped slings out of wire rope going to form two lifting points for the davit block and tackles to attach to. I also ran wire rope between the lifting points to keep them from spreading outward. All this with swaged eyes. I kept the dinghy from swinging by attaching it to the boat (stanchions) with nylon webbing straps with ratchets. Worked great.
