    Hi ErBrown
    I see you haven't been on here in quite some time, hopefully you will see this.
    I too spear fish and dive/snorkel a lot in out of way places and like to have a good dinghy anchor - so I am thinking about the Mantus.
    2 questions:
    -did you have the 2lb collapsible or the 8 lb?
    -the sharp pointy end makes me worry about poking a hole in the dinghy, especially when I am pulling it up. How was your experience with this?

    We live in Austin TX and get out most weekends for some lake sailing on our little Catalina.

    We recently purchased a 1999 Island Packet 40 and sailed her from Maryland to the Bahamas (Abaco) and are looking forward to spending the Holidays in the islands and then bringing her around to Texas.
