Hi, I've read a 2016 forum about your new mantus 65, I'm the owner of a Jeanneau 409 and I'm debating between the 55 and 65 as well. I have the original 2011 windlass that I think is 1000w and somethimes I feel that it's forcing a little when I pull up my 35lbs anchor with a lot of mud and seaweeds. Are you ok pulling the 65 and does it fit well on your boat ? Thx !

PS, my wife and I would be up for a one week charter in June in Abaco

If you will be aboard during charters, why limit yourself to day sails??? Do overnight, either at anchor or in marina so you have A/C for guests. Many people doing this in Florida and Bahamas, fly under the radar and do rental under AirBnB
  4. Mantus Anchors
Hey Epiic, our sizing is already very conservative and the 55 lbs Mantus would be the size we recommend, unless you are buying a hurricane anchor. So we do not recommend up sizing from what we recommend.
