I love your Spray. In fact, I wonder if I met you outside Hopetown in the Abacos in 2019, though seeing you are in CA, I doubt it. The degree of detail on that boat was exceptional.


I don't know if you're interested, I've written three books based on a modern Spray going around the world. Hint: it's more than a travel-log. You can get the first book on Kindle Unlimited for next to nothing. Look for Chicken of the Sea, by Neil Barry. BY the way, the Spray version was the Roberts' one--Bruce is a friend of my brother's from years ago. You can also sample the books at Amazon.

I was told he built about 14 of them . Mine was one of the last . Thanks for the info. Lots of design faults but mostly resolved now. Mine was built for a swiss guy who traded in used construction vehicles. I bought it of him as he was to old to look after it anymore.

Yes, I agree with Steady...lovely boat. Would enjoy hearing more about her and San Rafael. I began learning to sail when I lived on an old powerboat in Loch Lomand. Now live in the Philippines, still aboard the gaffer my husband and I built, but haven't been sailing on her since arriving. Hope to change that soon.
