    Hi Cat man do
I found your post on the Cruisemaster autopilot and I see you are in Brisbane as I am
I have a CN85i and can't get it to work properly. What did you replace your system with?
Did you find any technician here in brisbane you can recommend?
    Cheers

    cat man do,
How do ya do? Ive been reading your blog about trawling the world, can you give me some pointers to find more information on outfitting a commercial type fishing vessel such as you did?
Ive done some searches here, and other sites, but usually they point me to discussions of Nordhavn type trawlers, which are amazing, but mostly out of my price range to be quite honest...
    Thanks in advance!

Concerning outboard. 2 things I'd check 1.float needle deformed from ethanol or just time so it has a mushroom shaped tip that gets stuck and extra pressure from pumping bulb dislodges.2.worn fuel pump diaphragm so a flapper valve is blocking fuel or pump is not delivering fuel.good luck

    Heh Dave,
We are about to leave Raby bay finally.

I am about to subscribe to buoy weather?,
i have a mobile with modem, laptop and an external telstra aerial and will get an indonesian sim card once we land up there.
No HF radio only VHF and maybe a sat phone.
Is Buoy weather the best weather forecasting tool in your experience?

Just read your story about Small Budget Motor Cruising and I have to say, it was quite interesting to see the story from the other side!

I am currently saving to get my first boat and as I want a liveaboard, and want to do long distance cruising, I always believed that sail was the way to go for me. You have now opened my eyes and gave me another option.....still probably going to go with sail but I think I could incorporate some of your tips into my own plans!

So thank you, and keep up the good work with your site.

I just registered as CatManDo without realizing you had essentially the same name. I am trying to figure out how to re-register with a new name to avoid confusion.
