    Sorry Capn Bill I got the post mixed up it was Hopcar that posted the hardstart. You are right about the scroll compressor but my buget confines require a fix to equipment on hand.

    Morning Capn Bill, I was reading an old post about using a hard start with your 5k ac and a 1k gen. What size hard do you use.

    Hi,

    We made it to Houston last summer. Our boat is still in Stavanger, Norway. Norway has 25% VAT rolled into the boat, so moving it to Houston would've ensured it was one of the most expensive 'cheap' 36ft sloops in Texas! The buying season is now coming up in Norway as people have their eye on something new for the start of the sailing season in April/May.

    We're hoping for the same for ourselves once we're ready to find a new boat here in Texas.
