    Hi, my name is Dave. I'm an experienced coastal cruiser & racer with some time in Long Island Sound and lots of time in the Baltimore/Annapolis region of the Chesapeake.

    I've gotten away from racing in the past few years and consider myself a cruiser now (I just can't get out of the office at 4pm anymore for beercan racing and I loathe flying a symmetrical spinnaker - I'd rather crack open a beer on the downwind leg).

    I've never owned a boat but for a long time was a member of a now-defunct sailing club in Baltimore called Getaway Sailing. Now I sail on friends boats and use Boatsetter when I get urge to sail and cruise. I'm currently looking at finally buying my own boat (something in the 28-32' range for day-sailing and the occasional overnight trip to an anchorage in the upper Chesapeake). My long term interests are to retire early on a boat for a few years.
