    Roetter,
Will chase up the cell balancing boards.
The lipo in R/C have been charging and monitoring each cell for years.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Weeksey
Sorry, not checked CF for a long time. I lost my LiFePo, which is due to me buying used ones and having one cell set discharging by just sitting. We leave our boat for 8 months unattended in the Bahamas. I had kept the solar on, hoping that it would keep the bad cell set at a decent voltage, but when I arrived the bad set was at less than 2 volts, which mean the good ones were at 4+ volts. So I had 8 balloons. Managed a set out of these to transfer the boat 200+ miles to Florida. Had to go Trojan, as not able to get LiFePo quickly. Hate the lead batteries. Very inefficient in charging.
The only thing I would add to the LFP batteries (and I had bought those to install this season, but too late) are the cell balancing boards from House BMS. Get the ones with the lowest balancing voltage. Good that you have LIPO experience form RC aircraft. I used to fly F3J in the World Championships some time ago. Any more question - rolf at ship constructor dot com

    Hi Roetter,
We have purchased Kazaio L450 H132 from Gonzalo and understand from him, you were instrumental in helping choose the battery/ charging system installed.

I realise that it is some time ago it was installed but would be interested in any thoughts modifications you may have.
I am concerned re the solar input, especially as for the next twelve months she will be only be doing infrequent short trips.

She is now in Brisbane Australia on a marina berth with 240 shore power +solar and in view of others owner and your problems we are little concerned.Especially as its only possible to inspect/sail every second week for this year.

I am familiar with Lipo cell use/charging in RC aircraft which monitors and have used Gonzalo's method of shorting the higher pack.

We have not changed or added any of components, we love the boat its a credit to Gonzalo and your modifications really improve what is a Fab Cat.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated,

    Weekesy
